WOW! What a week. Between completing yet another week-long training and submitting a 1500-word article, I also managed to successfully merge two private groups of mine on Facebook. OK, that last one was a small victory, but for a technophobe, it was a big deal. I'm happy to report the fun energy in the new free group is totally living up to the new name...Merry Mavens! It launched this weekend and is going gangbusters, so that makes us all very merry!
Those who know me know I like quirky old photos so that helps explain the cover photo. Don't you just wonder whatever possessed these hilarious grandmas to strike this silly pose back then?
I'm so delighted to personally meet everybody in the group - a mix of some old friends and some new ones. What a diverse group of admirable ladies from literally all over the world and various professions. The real thrill for me personally is not only getting to meet these kind souls, but introducing them to other ladies that I can tell would make a good friend fit. This natural talent likely comes from the days when I managed an exclusive video computer dating company and played matchmaker to hundreds of quality professionals in search of partners. Talk about a fun job! It feels like I'm circling back around in many ways these days. Gotta love that saying: what goes around, comes around. Yep, it does, and it fills my well every time.
Truth be told, when we take our business hat off and let our hair down, we're all just regular gals facing similar challenges who enjoy meaningful exchanges with other quality women. We all have one thing in common and that's the desire to broaden our friendship circle with souls that we feel connected to and resonate with on some level. Plain and simple.
Please accept my personal invitation to stop by, kick off your shoes, plop down on our nice comfy couch and just chat with others doing the same. I'll be there, too. We even serve cake! I promise you'll be surprised at how fast you'll feel right at home...that's my wish for you.
I'm in my element when I'm exploring thoughts of this challenging topic of female friendships. Sometimes things spill out into the real world and end up here in this blog,
